Exploring the tools of Feminine Power™ to heal our world from the traumas of racism.
In 2019, I came together with several women in our Feminine Power™ Global Leader Network including our found Dr. Claire Zammit at our Feminine Power™ Live event to lean into using the tools of Feminine Power to heal internalized oppression and internalize supremacy. Out of this first meeting came a cohort of women leaders who formed The Feminine Power Mastermind on Healing Racism.
"Racism is a system that saps the strength of the whole society through the waste of human resources." - Dr. Camara Jones
It is inside of a cultural equity lens that I came to understand more deeply the transformational impact of Feminine Power™. Through the work of Dr. Dietra Hawkins, I learned about the cycle of conditioning or cycle of oppression. This is the cycle that keeps us inside of limiting beliefs (from an internal perspective) and that limits our access to resources for some groups, grants access to resources for other groups due to race (from an external perspective) inside systemic racism.
What I learned from Dr. Hawkins' work, is the importance of disrupting this cycle in multiple places in the cycle. While there is much more that can be added to this conversation, what is important here is that my understanding of the cycle catalyzed a deeper understanding of the Feminine Power process and how it can be used to heal internalized oppression.
What gives me hope and ignites a flame of anticipation in this exploration of how we heal and transform the trauma of racism, is seeing how Feminine Power disrupts the cycle of conditioning / cycle of oppression in every place along the cycle. Wow! I am so moved (to tears really) to now have this understanding of this work.
What would it look like to transform systemic racism to systemic love?
The Feminine Power Healing Racism Mastermind is comprised of a group of women leaders from the Feminine Power Global Leader Network™. We have all come together to explore how we use the Feminine Power work to heal our world from the trauma of racism. We've been meeting monthly since August 2019 with a core group of women from around the world committed to what's possible as we evolve out of racism and "othering."
